I think one good topic would be Do school kids really lose their memory from having a summer vacation. Their was a rumour going on that over the student's summer vacation they come back to school and not knowing much. So the question should they go all year round, or should they function like City High. Well I don't know if this good it just came to my head.

May i suggest going and finding any other research done about it.
Then one way you can go about it is surveying people, survey students here at city high and survey students at other schools. Survey us, City High, before we go on a break, best one is probably next trimester, when we go inbetween grades, because it's the longest break. Surveying students at other schools is going to be a little harder though, you're going to have to get in contact with the schools prinicpal and talk to them about your grad project and if it's ok then you can survey the students.
How you should do this is by picking students out of each grade, somewhere inbetween the numbers of 5 and 25, and writing down their information, and after you survey them, at the end of the year, come back the following schools year, best within the first month, and ask the same questions again.
See if they know more at the end of the year, the beginning of the year, or if it's the same.
School wise you should actually try a few:
You will deffinately survey City High students,
You should survey your home school,
Maybe Capa,
You should also conisder Private schools, such as catholic schools.
If you decide to survey private schools also, and if you survey an equal amount of private and public schools, so should be around 3 or 4 or more, you could even make your topic to who learns more and it sticks?
So if private school students remember the same amount as the end of the year, or if they remember more than public then you could change your topic to private schools knowing more. But, you would have to start to survey pretty soon to be completely sure.
