What is the focus of your project? The focus of my project is to find out what
it takes to make let people know what the YMCA is about.

What do you hope to learn, show, or accomplish? What’s your “point”? When done with this project I would hope to learn what is takes to make a program at the YMCA. My point would be to make a program at the YMCA because the program can define what the YMCA is around for.

A problem that you will be trying to solve? Why you feel you should be dealing with this problem. One problem I will have be facing is getting the community in the Fun Day

For the past week I have been getting my work done, but very slowly. For now I have interview questions and I know exacly who I'm going to interview. I will interview my mentor at the Allegheny YMCA, or if i can't i can interview my fellow staff because almost everyone knows about my project. John Tarimina is the main person I'm going to interview, he is my mentor and he knows that I will interview him soon.

To be honest this project is so dumb and boring. It's everyday their is about three new projects that I don't think helps me at all. I'm trying to keep up but its like so much. I have a good grade in this class right now but later I might get lazy and finish with a C. But I guess I'll do this boring project.

So hopefully I can get people to participate. I don't think you guy's are interested its just free swimming and basketball, coming Sunday March 22, 2009.

· That the sports of volleyball and basketball were born out of the YMCA
· Wellness floor staff who demonstrate equipment use
· Personal trainers who start you on a fitness/wellness plan
· Welcome Center staff who answer questions, help you register for programs and greet you by name
· Lifeguards who teach swim lessons, offer stroke assistance, and most importantly guard the pool with a watchful eye
· Nursery staff who lend a ready hand to watch and engage your children during your workout
· Youth counselors who lead by example, safeguard children and teens, and staff all YMCA youth programs
· All YMCA programs are tools YMCAs use to accomplish their mission, achieve their vision of building strong kids, strong families and strong communities, and reinforce the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
· Eighty-four percent of YMCA school-age programs are located in schools. Many YMCAs receive support from local schools and school boards.

How did the YMCA get started?
How did the YMCA change over time?
How does the YMCA help the community?
How many programs does the YMCA have?
How many YMCA locations are around the U.S.?
What kind of neighborhoods is the YMCA location at?
What age groups are most popular?
What programs does the YMCA offer for kids?

That last topic.... don't even worry about it. I think another topic that came to my head was "What is the philosophy of the YMCA"? I think I can use this because my internship is at the YMCA. Currently I'm getting a swimming program started and for my project I can... show you what it takes to get people involved with the swimming program. Once again just something I was thinking of.

I think one good topic would be Do school kids really lose their memory from having a summer vacation. Their was a rumour going on that over the student's summer vacation they come back to school and not knowing much. So the question should they go all year round, or should they function like City High. Well I don't know if this good it just came to my head.

Okay people don't worry about the last post everything is under control for now. The next step is to find out what I'm going to do with this GRADUATION PROJECT. I was thinking of something that involves a sport, because I know sports well. But however I'm kind of tired of sports. I need a project that is fun but I just don't know what I really like. Hopefully along the line something will catch my interest.
